PRemarital Counseling

Preparing for Marriage

Premarital counseling is intended for engaged couples. If you are seeking advice on getting married and dating someone seriously, we would be happy to talk with you about that as well. If you have further questions, please contact us at marriage@redeemeraz.org.

Preparing for marriage is an exciting and joyful journey. Because marriage is a lifelong covenant designed by God (Genesis 2:24), it is vital that couples build their relationship on a firm, biblical foundation. At Redeemer Bible Church, we want to come alongside you as you prepare not just for your wedding day, but for a lifetime together. We do this by pointing you to the ultimate source of practical guidance and truth—the Word of God—which equips couples for selfless love, healthy communication, and a Christ-centered union.

What is Premarital Counseling?

Premarital counseling is a weekly meeting that provides an encouraging, honest, and scripture-filled opportunity to prepare for life together. You’ll receive helpful teaching and counsel from the Word of God on foundational topics like spiritual leadership, communication, conflict resolution, finances, and intimacy, along with practical tools for your future. Guidance from Scripture will help ensure God is glorified as you unite your lives. Additionally, you’ll gain a relationship with one of your pastors for encouragement and guidance as you enter this new season.

When?

Premarital counseling is offered throughout the year. As applications are received, meetings are scheduled based on availability and convenience.

Already Married? Please Note:

These meetings are intended for couples who are engaged. If you are already married and are seeking marriage strengthening, please see the Marriage Ministry page for resources. If you are currently struggling in your marriage, please see the Biblical Counseling Department page for details or email counseling@redeemeraz.org with questions. No couple should navigate marital difficulties alone. The Bible appoints church leadership to be a protective and guiding resource, helping couples to heal, grow, and honor their covenant.
