Unmet Expectations Book Study

Join Sheryl Currell and Ann Jordan for the study, Unmet Expectations: Reshaping our Thinking in Disappointments, Trials and Delays, a book and Bible study by Lisa Hughes. Life doesn’t always turn out the way we imagined. Yet, we can respond in God-glorifying ways even when circumstances fall short of our desired hopes and expectations. With practical, biblical counsel from the Scriptures, we have the tools we need to put away sinful responses and be women who smile at the future (Proverbs 31:25).  This study will help you grow in contentment, trust, and hope in the unexpected parts of life. Each chapter of the book includes inductive Bible study questions, which will be discussed in a small group setting during our weekly class time.

Mark: The Gospel of Jesus Christ, Son of God, Son of Man

Join Kim Koch for a study of the book of Mark. The most important question you will ever answer is this: Who do you believe Jesus Christ is? With all the opinions floating around – He’s a good man, a teacher, a prophet, the Son of God – how can you know who is right? Mark’s account of Jesus’ life gives you the answer, and it is more action-packed and fast-paced than the other three Gospel records. Rather than rehearsing what people said about Jesus, Mark shows you what Jesus actually did. As you learn to carefully observe Mark's report, you’ll discover that Jesus left no doubt about who He claimed to be. Precept Upon Precept studies are an in-depth Bible study with approximately 5 hours of homework per week. Classes will include discussion time and viewing a Kay Arthur video.
